Hello CSC Members,
We, the CSC Executives, are initiating a constitutional amendment to improve our Systems Committee (syscom) and Terminal Committee (termcom) processes and definitions, as well as to update a bit of wording. These changes intend to address some operational issues with syscom and termcom, specifically the former having many alumni and not having a clear path for students to become involved, and the latter not representing a fulfilling role nor meeting its intended "syscom-in-training" purpose.
You can find the live revision of the amendment on the CSC Git here: https://csclub.ca/amendments.
As per Section 10 (Amendments and Procedures) of the CSC Constitution, there will be 28 days of discussion before announcing the finalized version to go to the voting phase, which will occur in-person at our Beginning of Term event.
To discuss this amendment, please join our Discord server at https://csclub.ca/discord. Look for the #constitution-amendments channel at the top of the server under the office status channel.
Thank you,
