Hello CSC,
This is a reminder that Battle Decks today is happening from 6:30pm to
8:30pm in MC 4041.
There is an informal sign up on the white board inside the CSC room.
What is Battle Decks?
You prepare a slide deck with 5 slides relating to one concept. Email it to
veep@ <veep(a)csclub.uwaterloo.ca>csclub.uwaterloo.ca<veep(a)csclub.uwaterloo.ca>.
At 6:30 we will randomly choose a presentation from the submissions and
have people present the concept impromptu.
The idea is to become comfortable with public speaking, by practising in
front of your peers, to learn a new concept and to entertain.
I hope to see you there.
Submissions for slides end at 6pm. You will only be able to present a slide
if you submit a deck. The presentations are to run no more than 6 mins each.

Hello everyone,
The Computer Science Club will be hosting these events in the forthcoming
weeks:
1) Code Party 1 (2014-03-14 - 6:00 PM - Comfy Lounge)
We will be having our 2nd code party this term. Enjoy a free dinner, relax,
and share ideas
with your friends about your favourite topics in computer science.
2) Battle Decks (2014-03-18 - 7:00 PM - MC 4041)
Create a 5-slide PowerPoint presentation about a specific topic. Bring it
with you to
the event (on a flash drive). Submit it into the lottery. Select a random
PowerPoint presentation
from the lottery and talk about it on the spot.
3) HackWaterloo (2014-03-28 - 7:00 PM - Multimedia Lab at CPH 1346)
Work on a software project for 24 hours in teams of up to 4 members. Swag
will be provided
by Facebook and Google. A Microsoft Surface Table will be awarded to the
winning team.
