What most people don’t know is that Apple doesn’t actually provide any endpoints for third-parties to integrate with. In this talk, we’ll explain the low-level binary code injection techniques we used on Mac OS X to get the Finder to include Dropbox in the toolbar, sidebar, context menu, and over each file icon. About Dropbox: Dropbox was founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi, two MIT students tired of emailing files to themselves to work from more than one computer. Today, more than 100 million people across every continent use Dropbox to always have their stuff at hand, share with family and friends, and work on team projects.

On Monday, Feb 4, 11:30am-1:30pm, in the Laurel Room, South Campus Hall, there will be a talk about supercomputing, including an overview of the supercomputing industry, some of the toughest problems in supercomputing, "Big Data", and other related topics. This event is sponsored by Xyratex, and we will also be happy to describe the part that Xyratex plays in the world of supercomputing, and how you can participate.
