You'll work on our cutting edge meta driven mobile rendering engines that span multiple Android OS versions and screen resolutions. *Required Skills/Experience:* - 2+ years of experience in developing complex native mobile applications using Android SDK. - Expert in Object Orientated Design, Java and the Android Platform. - Good knowledge of productivity tools like; Gradle, automation test tools(Appium, Robo-Electric, monkeyrunner), and unit test frameworks. - Take ownership of your features from inception to product delivery. You are proud of the code you write. - A passion for simple, fast and clever UI. - Masters/Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred. - Must want to work in a startup environment - Entrepreneurial mindset/background is a plus *Responsibilities:* - Collaborate with peers on technical design, work estimation and implementation of new mobile applications and features including visualization aspects and server interfaces/contracts - Develop and maintain our ever growing code base that supports the Seecows Android Application. - Deliver detailed technical designs with accurate software cost estimation while participating in our agile development model. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to raising the quality of our product. - Have fun engineering software and working with an awesome team of guys committed to building the next best thing. - Be able to take full ownership of specific parts of the Android project - Must be able to work independently *About Seecows* Seecows allows businesses to create amazing digitized, democratized, socialized, and enhanced direct mobile promotional pieces. The right person is a talented front-end web developer who can turn PSDs into working HTML/CSS/JavaScript and can build out responsive and functional web interfaces. We are not just looking for an individual with knowledge of certain frameworks and technologies, but someone who is able to learn quickly and be comfortable with working with all parts of our stack. As well as someone who loves bringing to life designs, has a passion for creating, and is obsessed with details and getting the little things right, in their code and final product and is excited to be working for a growing Startup with demanding but rewarding responsibilities. *Job Responsibilities* Writing efficient, scalable and reusable code Write, maintain, and enforce web development and deployment standards, including detailed documentation and training for other internal and external developers Develop and execute automated testing frameworks to ensure website health, performance, and browser compatibility Focusing on the end user through a technical lens Developing interfaces from strategy and business requirements Ability to collaborate closely with design team to develop interfaces and solve problems Track industry trends and find opportunities to apply them in your work Prioritize, respond to, and execute technical website requests *Qualifications:* 3+ years of front-end development experience Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery Experience working with various web frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation) Browser debugging using WebKit Developer Tools or similar Understanding of grid systems and responsive web Optimizing front-end performance Experience with version control systems like GIT, Subversion Experience with a JavaScript MVC Framework (Backbone, Angular, Ember, etc.) Online Portfolio or Github Portfolio Ability to implement optimization, scaling and caching techniques Understanding of 3rd party API integration Respect of industry-accepted standards, specifications and best practices Ability to learn new development techniques as needed Additional *Preferred Qualifications:* Android Development Experience Experience with pre-processors (LESS/SASS) Mobile web/application development experience Familiarity with agile software design concepts Solid understanding of basic UX principles and what makes a great user experience You have brought a major project or product to market in the past year *ADDITIONAL INFORMATION*- Full Time starting as early December 15th - $40K to $60K per year plus equity options Location: Toronto Company: Seecows Inc.
