I’m James, the president of the new SDC team UWHPC (UWaterloo High Performance Computing). The team builds software for high-performance computing and works in areas such as scientific computing, machine learning infrastructure, compilers, and more. I had talked to dbeef on discord about getting a promotional message in the #official-outreach channel. I have also CC’d my co-president, Karl.

UW High Performance Computing (UWHPC) is looking for new members this upcoming term!
We’re looking for students interested in high-performing code. Applications include a short form and a coding assessment in C++. Our next project will involve ML, so expect to use Triton.
We’re a small team, so members get hands-on experience and meaningful ownership of our projects. We started as a group of friends who genuinely enjoy HPC and developing things together, and we want to keep that culture as we grow.
