The challenges of engineering a high-performance, globally distributed,
enterprise-wide software system are intrinsically complex. The system must be
simple enough to be fast and correct, sophisticated enough to execute in a
globally distributed setting, smart enough to maintain a valid state despite
massive amounts of streaming data, complete enough to behave optimally under
unpredictable and volatile conditions, and elegant enough to permit rapid
future development, trivial scaling and so forth. Plus, the organizations
depending on these mission-critical systems demand fast release schedules. As
engineers, it's our job to find smarter designs and smarter ways to develop
and test our designs.

There will be free food and drinks as well a chance to win a iPod Nano!
