The Undergraduate School on Experimental Quantum Information Processing (USEQIP) is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to work with the tools used to harness and exploit the quantum world. You’ll learn from leading experts in the field at the Institute for Quantum Computing — one of the world’s largest research facilities devoted to quantum information processing. The lectures and more than 25 hours of experimental workshops offered at USEQIP are aimed at undergraduate students of engineering, physics, chemistry, computer science and mathematics, though all interested students are invited to apply. Twenty students will be accepted to the two-week program (from May 28 to June 8, 2012), with all travel, meals and housing costs funded by the Institute for Quantum Computing and its partners. This week Google announced the launch of the Freshman Engineering Practicum<http://www.google.com/jobs/engpracticum/fep>internship application for summer 2012. We would like your help in advertising this program to qualified freshmen (first year) students. In case you are not familiar, Freshman Engineering Practicum is a full-length, paid, summer software engineering internship. Students work on production-level projects in a team environment, attend trainings to enhance their technical and professional skills, and receive mentorship from Google engineers. The program is open to all qualified college freshmen (first years), and is committed to addressing diversity in the field of Computer Science. Students who are a member of a group that is historically underrepresented in the technology industry are encouraged to apply. Windows Mobile Software Developer Needed

Hello, My name is Richard Kennedy. I am a M.Sc. Geography candidate at The University of Ottawa. I am working on a thesis project that would allow a professional forester to carry out electronic field data collection using a Windows Mobile 6.5 OS smartphone. I am looking to hire a software developer to do some of the programming work. It is not a great amount of work and would be suitable for a upper year computer science student. We would want in this in approximately 4-6 weeks from the time of commencement. If you know of or can recommend anyone that may be potentially interested, please feel free to forward my contact information where they can reach me for more details.
