The Winter 2023 Bootcamp also hosted resume reviews on the week of January 14th - 15th, and mock interviews from January 21st - 22nd. Experienced mentors of various tech backgrounds provided one-on-one advice and tips about interview skills and resume building on fields ranging from product management to programming.
We hope that all the participants had a great and insightful experience and are more confident with their future job searches, applications, and interviews. Thank you for your time and we wish everyone all the best for their future co-op applications!
Partnered with UW Data Science Club, on January 24th, we hosted the Ace the Data Science Interview event with Nick Singh! Students got the chance to hear Nick Singh, an experienced professional in the field share his insights and strategies for success.
CSC hosted another talk on January 31 with Jeromy Carriere, who is the current Senior Vice President of Engineering at Datadog with engineering experience at Facebook and Google. We got to hear about his successes and failures in applying the principles and practices of software architecture as leverage over challenges typical of large-scale systems.

Prof Talk with Anton Mosunov
[📣] Are you interested in learning more about parallel computation? CSC is hosting a Prof Talk with the amazing Professor Anton Mosunov to talk about his awe-inspiring research. [🤩] He will deliver a captivating talk about parallel computation. If you don’t yet know what that is yet or want to learn more about it, make sure to be there!
[‼️] A special note from Anton, “As computational number theorists, we aim to provide computational (as opposed to theoretical) evidence in support of these big conjectures, and supply mathematical community with extensive data on various invariants associated with IQFs. In this presentation I will tell you how we intend to tabulate class groups of IQFs with |d| <= 2^41 on a supercomputer, aiming to extend our previous calculation done to 2^40. ”
[ℹ️] Before you attend his talk, here are a few things he would like you to know! Make sure to bring a laptop and to install OpenMP on your system before the talk. You will have the chance to play around with the API and write a simple program, as well as solve various exercises!
