Looks interesting. I'm forwarding this to our exec and industry mailing lists. On Thu, Jan 26, 2012 at 2:58 PM, Dan Brown <dan.brown@uwaterloo.ca> wrote:
Hi,
Since this isn't really a co-op position, but is potentially exciting, I'm passing it on to you.

I'm writing because I am co-mentor of an Extreme Blue project here at IBM this summer. We will be looking to hire 4 students for the project.
The project will involve the use of advanced analytics to order tasks on the task lists of physicians in internal medicine. The goal is not only to optimize the performance of individual physicians but also the throughput of the hospital overall. The tasks will be coming from the IBM process management engine and we will be building an iOS client to display the task list.
For Extreme Blue, students generally are near the end of their studies. Experience with BPM and/or iOS would be an asset but I am also very interested in a student with experience in Statistics and/or Operations Research.
If you can think of a few students who might be interested in applying please let me know. I promise they will have a great experience. The students should also go to www.ibm.com/extremeblue and apply using the form. -- dan brown dan.brown@uwaterloo.ca Associate Professor and Associate Director Cheriton School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo
