Hi all,
All CSC machines will have their software updated (which requires a reboot), with the exception of sorbitol and neotame (which have already been upgraded), at 6pm EST on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 (this coming Wednesday). General-use machines will be offline for a few minutes, and Cloud machines (i.e. CSC Cloud VMs) *may* go offline as well (we'll try our best to keep them up, but no guarantees). Since sorbitol and neotame will not be rebooted, we recommend you move any services you do not want to be disrupted to these machines.
We will send a `wall` warning message to all logged-in users on affected general-use machines at 5pm EST, before the upgrade begins. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Systems Committee at: syscom@csclub.uwaterloo.ca.
