Socialab is currently seeking a technical co-founder to drive the tech and innovation within the company. Socialab is a self-development app that provides users with personalized social training to help build effective communication habits. In a similar fashion to DuoLingo or Headspace, customized training pathways help users practice and improve essential skills such as emotional intelligence and charisma.
We are offering up to 49% sweat equity and an equal share of the company for the right candidate.
The time commitment would be 10-15 hours a week, with future potential of increasing to full-time if financially feasible.
The company is currently based out of Communitech in Waterloo, however, it will be based out of Toronto as of May 2nd.
Socialab has an email list with 300+ pre-launch sign-ups, validated proof of concept, and completed research to begin development.
The founder, Ian Saunders, is a 4th-year business student at Wilfrid Laurier University. He has been accepted into the RBC Venture Accelerator, Laurier Launchpad, as well as Next 36, and is working full-time on the idea for the next 8 months. He founded the business through the European Innovation Academy in Portugal this previous summer.
