Hello Waterloo students!

Oliver Wyman invites you to the UW Data Science Lunch, an opportunity to learn more about how individuals with computer science, mathematics, and engineering backgrounds can have an impact at Oliver Wyman. We will be presenting some examples of the cool analytics work we have done, and providing free lunch. We hope to see you there! The event is at Friday, September 8th from 2PM-3:30PM, Waterloo Campus – sign up at http://owy.mn/UWLunchLearn.

A little about us: Oliver Wyman is a global management consulting firm. We use modern data science and custom software to solve the toughest real world business problems.

This is an opportunity to apply your education to real businesses, changing how companies work and having an extraordinary impact from Day 1. While you may not have considered management consulting as a career, we are hiring mathematicians, engineers, and data scientists, along with students from a variety of other majors, who can apply their technical skills to solve the gnarliest problems. At the same time, you will develop the business skills and acumen to become the next generation of business leaders. We’ll get you there.

We are highly entrepreneurial, and bring together talented and thoughtful people  to develop a unique solution to each problem we face. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves.  Ours is a firm whose members teach each other, take care of one another, and continuously learn, stretching the boundaries of what we are capable of doing. There are not many places where you can solve problems of such size, scale and variety, and even fewer places that have great people to do it with.

This fall, we’ll be on campus recruiting for our Full-time Consultant and Co-Op positions. Submit application to WaterlooWorks (if possible) AND www.oliverwyman.com/careers. Submissions are due at 11:59pm on September 14th for entry-level and 11:59pm EST September 25th for co-ops for the January – April term.

For more information, go to www.oliverwyman.com/careers, or for questions about how your mathematical, engineering, and data science background might apply to the firm, please contact bryan.mccann@oliverwyman.com.

We look forward to meeting you!
