We're headed to Waterloo for our first ever recruiting trip to Canada. Come by and learn more about how we build software at Dropbox. We'll supply the food, drinks, and giveaways.

Wednesday, Jan 22nd 5-7pm, Davis Center 1304

(Optional) RSVP for the talk on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/525072800859633/

About the presentation:
Ever since Dropbox has launched, it has had deep integration with Finder, Apple’s file manager (found in Mac OS X). What most people don’t know is that Apple doesn’t actually provide any endpoints for third-parties to integrate with. In this talk, we’ll explain the low-level binary code injection techniques we used on Mac OS X to get the Finder to include Dropbox in the toolbar, sidebar, context menu, and over each file icon.

About Dropbox:
Dropbox was founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi, two MIT students tired of emailing files to themselves to work from more than one computer. Today, more than 100 million people across every continent use Dropbox to always have their stuff at hand, share with family and friends, and work on team projects.
