I want to participate out of curiosity lol. Last time I interviewed for a startup which paid the same, I passed phone interview, but was lost on the technical, want to see if I've improved.

The $300k is the base salary, as in you get paid $300,000 per year if you work for a full year. You will also get equity in the company, and all software engineers are in a bonus system where every 6 weeks, we look at output and give bonuses accordingly, based on the tasks shipped. We also promote/give raises quickly. Some of our top employees have received raises in 3 weeks after joining, and at least two others have received 3 raises in 5 months.

On a related note, one of the more cracked people I know was interested, but wanted to know a bit more about the offer since it was a bit ambiguous (what does the $300k stand for).

I want to do an exclusive challenge for people in the club. If people can pass our interview process (30 min recruiter call, ~4hr take-home interview, 30 min intelligence/culture interview), we will give them an offer ($300k+ base + equity + bonus), $5k (whether or not they accept the offer), and I'll give the club $1k per person that passes.
