Hello CS Club members,

My name is Jinny Kim, and I am your president this term. I hope that your term is going well so far!

Here are some of the things that the exec has been working on:

Drinks and snacks have been restocked! If you have any suggestions for items we should carry, there is a suggestions board in the office.

Unix 101 will be taking place tonight in MC 3003, from 5:30-6:30PM.
We will be teaching basic topics including how to use the shell, why we use it, some simple commands, and more. If you are already a whiz, why not come out and help out fellow members?

Code Party will immediate follow Unix 101, and is located in the MC Comfy from 6:30PM onwards. Come and work on a side project, discuss cool topics in computer science, and enjoy some free dinner. If you would like to work on a side project but don't have any ideas, we'll have some ideas you can tackle.

We will also be ratifying the new sysadmin today during a general meeting (held at the same time as Code Party).

I personally apologize for the short notice of today's events; we will make sure to send you all future news in a timely fashion.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email me.

Cheers,

Jinny Kim
